News Story with Delayed Lead

Have you ever woken up after a night of drinking feeling like death? Well, a new study has found that consuming moderate amounts of alcohol may actually increase your lifespan.

"The 90+ Study," which came out of the University of California Irvine, determined that people who drank modest amounts of alcohol or coffee lived longer than those who did not.

"I have no explanation for it, but I do firmly believe that modest drinking improves longevity," said Claudia Kawas, a key researcher for the study.

Subjects who drank two glasses of beer or wine daily decreased their chances of premature death by 18 percent. Drinking two cups of coffee a day decreased chances by 10 percent.

The study also determined that people who were overweight in their 70s lived longer than those who were normal or underweight, and that regular exercise and keeping busy with a regular hobby is key to living a longer life.

Ordering your daily Starbucks may be breaking your bank, but for one San Jose man, his wallet was drained after just one trip.

Ben Chevassus broke the record for the most expensive Starbuck's drink this morning after ordering a "Quadriginoctuple Frap."

This $47.30 drink consisted of 48 shots of espresso, some protein powder, two bananas, a few caramel drizzle Frappuccino chips, some vanilla bean and a little soy.

"I did it for fun, for a bit of entertainment and to see if it is at all possible," Chevassus said. "I was surprised how cool the Starbucks employees were. They seemed almost as interested in trying to set the record as I was."

Although the Quadriginoctuple Frap beat the previous $26.60 record, Chevassus received it for free because it was his birthday.
