I think profile #1 did a better job drawing the reader into the story because the lead for profile #2 was a bit clunky.

The angle/focus of profile #1 was how much she liked books and how she was able to use her love of photography as a visual sort of story. The angle/focus of profile #2 was how much he liked classic rock.
